Privacy Policy

Historacle is built to be privacy-respecting: the core scenario engine runs without an account, and scenarios live in your browser and the URL.

Last updated: June 2026

Information we collect

The core tool does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to run a scenario. Scenario inputs are held in your browser and encoded into shareable links.

  • Scenario state — sliders, flags, and selections — stored locally and in the URL you control.
  • Theme preference — stored in your browser's local storage.
  • Basic, aggregate usage and diagnostic data may be collected to keep the service reliable.
  • If you email us via the contact page, we receive the contents of that message.

How we use information

Any information collected is used only to operate, secure, and improve the service, and to respond to you when you reach out. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party data sources

Historacle fetches market and economic data from third parties (including FRED, the EIA, and Yahoo Finance) to render charts. Requests to those services are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage for preferences such as your light/dark theme. We avoid non-essential tracking. Any analytics, if enabled, are configured to minimize personal data.

Your choices

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. For questions about your data, contact us via the contact page.
